AUPEC continues its traditions to bring together academics, students, researchers and practising engineers, primarily from Australasia but also from other parts of the world, to present emerging topics in power and energy.

In 2024 AUPEC will be held from 20th to 22nd November 202 in Sydney, Australia. The conference invites researchers and industry professionals to submit new and original ideas on different aspects of power and energy engineering, which includes but is not limited to the following broad topics:

  • Power system stability, operation and control
  • Power system Planning and operation
  • Resiliency of power grids
  • Power system protection
  • Power system communications
  • Power electronics converters
  • Power quality and harmonics
  • Electrical machines and drives
  • Power engineering education
  • Electricity market and economics
  • Renewable energy resources
  • Energy storage systems and technologies
  • Distributed and consumer energy resources
  • Demand side management
  • Virtual power plants
  • Microgrids (DC, AC and hybrid)
  • Multi-carrier energy systems, including hydrogen
  • Asset management
  • Cyber security of power systems
